XIAOJUN of WayV and NCT is officially counting down to his solo debut. SM Entertainment dropped the intro film for his first mini album, “Hey, Somebody,” on the company’s official YouTube channel, and the clip quickly circulated on r/kpop within hours of its release.
The video description confirms the details fans have been waiting for: “XIAOJUN The 1st Mini Album ➫ 2026.10.26 (CST/KST),” with a pre-order link already live at XlAOJUN.lnk.to/HeySomebody. The film is tagged with #NCT_10TH_ANNIVERSARY, tying the release to NCT’s milestone year.
The release is Xiaojun’s first solo album. Aju Press reported on October 6 that the five-track EP will drop at noon on October 26, with its title track recorded in both Mandarin and English versions. SM confirmed the solo debut earlier this month, ending years of speculation over when the WayV vocalist would go solo.
Xiaojun has previously appeared on collaborations with Super Junior-M’s Zhou Mi and fellow WayV member Kun, featured on other artists’ music, and recorded drama soundtracks — but “Hey, Somebody” will be his first album as a solo artist.
No official statement accompanied the intro film beyond its YouTube description. With ten days until release, more teasers are expected in the coming days as SM builds toward October 26.
