ZEROBASEONE unit EMP will pre-release its title track “RUN” featuring Dynamic Duo on November 4, building momentum toward the duo’s first digital single “OFF script” on November 10.
According to MyDaily, EMP will release “RUN” at 6 p.m. on November 4 through major online music sites. The track serves as the title song of “OFF script,” which follows six days later, also at 6 p.m. on November 10. The staggered rollout puts the Dynamic Duo collaboration in front of listeners first, before the full single arrives.
The pre-release follows a busy November 3 for the unit. On that day, EMP unveiled an album sampler for “OFF script” through ZEROBASEONE’s official social media channels. The sampler previewed snippets of all three tracks: the title track “RUN (with Dynamic Duo),” “AFTERTASTE (with JUNNY),” and “MADE YOU LOOK.” MyDaily reported that the preview offered a glimpse of EMP’s free-spirited hip-hop energy, with Seok Matthew and Park Gunwook shown enjoying music together with their crew.
The sampler gave fans their first listen to the collaborations at the heart of the project. JUNNY, who features on “AFTERTASTE,” even appears in the preview video, raising expectations for the chemistry between the featured artist and the duo. The three-song lineup shows EMP leaning into collaboration rather than carrying the single alone.
EMP also met fans in person before the pre-release. On November 3, the duo held a listening event called “SOUND SEMINAR” at CJ Azit Gwangheungchang in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event included live performances as well as explanations of the music-making process and the stories behind the songs, giving attendees an early, in-person introduction to the new material.
EMP is ZEROBASEONE’s hip-hop project unit, made up of Seok Matthew and Park Gunwook. MyDaily noted that both members take part directly in writing the unit’s songs, shaping an identity distinct from the main group’s work. That hands-on approach runs through the new single: the duo’s own chemistry forms the base, while collaborations with Dynamic Duo and JUNNY widen the musical range.
The timing gives EMP two moments in the same week. “RUN” arrives first as a pre-release on November 4, and “OFF script” completes the rollout on November 10. With the sampler already public and the listening event done, attention now turns to how listeners receive the full title track on streaming sites.
