BTSâs Tokyo Dome concert is heading to Japanese television. TBS Channel 1 will exclusively broadcast the opening-day show of the groupâs April Tokyo Dome concerts on November 28 at 8 p.m. local time, under the title âBTS WORLD TOUR âARIRANGâ IN JAPAN.â
According to Star News via Naver, the TV-exclusive broadcast will feature footage from the first day of the two-day Tokyo Dome run, which drew a combined 110,000 fans across both shows.
The broadcast will spotlight the mass sing-along of the Korean folk song âArirangâ during âBody to Body,â a track from the groupâs fifth studio album âArirangâ that weaves the traditional melody into a modern sound. The chorus scene is set to be a featured highlight of the special.
TBS is going all-in on the group for November. The broadcaster will air a month-long lineup dubbed âBTS Special Precious New Chapter,â spanning 28 BTS-related programs, including concerts, variety shows and films.
Japanese media singled out the âArirangâ chorus right after the Tokyo Dome shows. Fashion and culture magazine SPUR described the moment the song rang through the venue as a spectacle, while Rolling Stone Germany reported that around 70,000 fans sang âArirangâ during the groupâs Munich stop. Le Monde noted that the entire audience sang along in Korean.
The broadcast arrives as BTS continues the South American leg of its world tour, following performances in Santiago, Chile, with Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo up next.
