JYP Entertainment is gearing up to debut a new boy group. On November 6, the company launched a teaser website for oftheblue, a male group, featuring two teaser images and the slogan “Music Begins Everywhere.”
The group’s official X account, @oblu_official, shared the slogan on November 5, 2026, pointing fans to the new site. According to Soompi, the website also includes an instrumental preview of a song, giving fans a first listen to the group’s sound before any member has been revealed. One of the teaser images hints that the group may have four members, though JYP has not confirmed a lineup size.
The launch answers weeks of speculation around the name. In October, trademark filings for OBLU and OFTHEBLUE surfaced, and a JYP-affiliated X account using the name came to fans’ attention, fuelling talk that a new JYP group was on the way. Much of that speculation assumed the project would be a girl group, the next in a main-label lineage running from TWICE through ITZY to NMIXX, which debuted in February 2022. The teaser settles one question at least: oftheblue is a male group.
That places oftheblue in JYP’s recent boy group run, which includes NEXZ, the seven-member group that debuted in May 2024 with “Ride the Vibe,” and KickFlip, the seven-member group that began its debut project in January 2025. Both were introduced through teaser campaigns that kept their members under wraps until shortly before launch, and oftheblue looks to be following the same playbook.
For now, the basics are still unknown. No member names, debut date, or song title have been announced, and JYP has not issued a statement beyond the teaser rollout itself. Fans are watching the group’s official channels for the next reveal, which should show whether the four-member hint holds and when the group will make its first full appearance.
