Veteran actress Na Moon-hee revealed that IU has been sending her thoughtful gifts ever since she heard about Na’s illness, sharing her mixed feelings of gratitude and guilt during a heartwarming dinner reunion.

According to MyDaily, Na Moon-hee and fellow veteran actress Kim Young-ok invited the singer-actress to Kim’s home for an intimate dinner, featured in a video on MyDaily’s own YouTube channel. Na arrived early without telling IU, preparing a surprise.

Kim explained that IU had offered to appear on their YouTube show, which surprised her — and she invited Na along, knowing how fond Na is of IU. IU showed up with meat, desserts, and matching t-shirts, visibly surprised when Na stepped out of another room.

Na recalled rehearsing for a drama role when she fell ill and had to drop out. “IU heard about it and started sending me gifts,” she said. “That was quite a while ago.” She added, “IU keeps buying me delicious food, so I keep feeling like I’m a burden — I don’t like that.”

IU, who bonded with Na through one of her music videos, called the two veterans her role models after watching them on “You Quiz on the Block.” She also said she cried the hardest when Na’s character Chun-ok died in a Netflix series.

The gathering ended with IU reading a heartfelt letter to both actresses, vowing to become an actress who shares loving energy the way they do.
