Netflix has officially confirmed production of “Crime Scene Zero” Season 2, with all five original cast members returning, the streaming giant announced on October 20.
According to a report by TenAsia, film director Jang Jin, broadcaster Park Ji-yoon, comedian Jang Dong-min, actor Kim Ji-hoon, and IVE’s Ahn Yu-jin will all reunite for the new season. No new fixed members are being added to the lineup; instead, a special guest will join each episode for the deduction battle.
The new season is slated for release on Netflix in 2027, though an exact premiere date will be announced at a later time.
“Crime Scene Zero” is a role-playing mystery variety show in which the cast, divided into suspects and detectives, investigate crime scenes, analyze evidence, and track down the culprit hiding among them. The first season, released last year, kept the franchise’s signature deduction format while leveraging Netflix’s larger production scale for the crime scenes and characters.
Producer Yoon Hyun-joon said the returning five are the people who understand and embody the “Crime Scene” universe better than anyone else. “I am glad everyone can be together again,” he said, adding that viewers should also look forward to the top-tier guest lineup joining them.
Notably, Park Ji-yoon continues her record of appearing in every episode of every season of the “Crime Scene” franchise. Season 2 promises even bigger crime scenes and new tricks for the cast’s deduction and role-playing.
