Rapper Yang Hong-won and his wife Won Hyun-joo have unfollowed each other on Instagram, just five days after their October 18 wedding, as cheating allegations against the rapper continue to escalate.
According to an October 24 report by Sports Kyunghyang, as of the morning of October 24 neither account appeared in the other’s Instagram follow list. The couple had long shared their dating life, wedding, and parenting journey on social media.
The allegations surfaced on October 23, when an acquaintance identified as “A” posted Instagram stories claiming that “a newlywed groom went to a motel with a woman.” A also released direct messages and a call recording, and told Won Hyun-joo to check her husband’s card records.
In a live broadcast, A said his motive was money and attention — “Does loyalty feed you? Does loyalty pay you money?” — and admitted he had exaggerated the room events, conceding he could not verify what happened inside.
Yang’s agency AP Alchemy denied the claims: “The exposer’s claims differ from the facts, and the materials presented by the exposer are the result of malicious editing.” The agency admitted the motel visit but insisted there was “not a single affectionate act” inside, and said both Yang and the woman have filed criminal complaints against A for extortion, stalking-law violations, and defamation.
Won Hyun-joo has not made a public statement. With the couple now seemingly cut off on social media, fans are watching closely for what comes next.
